Mike's history as a Trade Unionist began in the 1970's as a member of the Machinist Union in Milwaukee. Mike started out as a Shop Steward while working as a Journeyman Machinist at the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company. He worked his way up through the ranks serving in various capacities and became President of Machinist Lodge 66; the largest machinist local in Milwaukee.

In 1981, he went to work at American Motors in Milwaukee. In 1983, he became First Vice President at UAW Local 75 and became a full time servicing representative. In 1986, Mike was hired by Blue Cross Blue Shield, in Milwaukee as a Labor Consultant and worked with Labor Organizations throughout Wisconsin helping them with health insurance related issues with 1990.

In 1990, he was hired by Teamsters Local 662 in Eau Claire to administrate the Locals Health and Welfare plans and as a Business Representative where he represents many of the Local's membership on the Western end of the state, involved with both Public and Private Sector membership.

In 1998, Mike was hired by Local 75 in Green Bay as a Business Representative where he continues to service our members throughout Northeastern Wisconsin today.
